Bose® and Lightspeed Aviation Headsets
The Bose® Aviation Headset X offers an unmatched combination of full-spectrum noise reduction, clearer audio and a comfortable fit - at only 12 ounces and with significantly less clamping force than most conventional ANR headsets. Pilots continue to select the Bose Aviation Headset X as their preference year after year.
Until recently, headset manufacturers relied on large earcups and headband force to help muffle aircraft noise. The tradeoff: more noise reduction usually meant a less comfortable fit. With the Headset X, proprietary TriPort® headset structure plus Acoustic Noise Cancelling® circuitry combine to deliver full-spectrum noise reduction from a smaller, lighter headset - with about 50% less clamping force than most conventional active designs.
The new Zulu headset looks different because it is different. Made with magnesium and stainless steel it's extremely durable and yet weighs just over 13 ounces.
Because of its unique ear cup design, Zulu has more total noise cancellation than any headset on the market. Simply put, you get broader noise attenuation over the entire audible range.
Rather than concentrating purely on cutting decibels, our engineers looked at how pilots perceive noise at different frequencies. Their goal was to make the Zulu feel so much better than any other headset, that when someone put it on, the first words would be "Wow".
